Ava Bentley is a special counsel in the Insurance Group. Ava joined CBP from a large general insurer where she was the National Claims Manager for Professional Indemnity Claims. Ava has experience in, and exposure to, many facets of insurance including management, claims, reinsurance and excess insurance, policy drafting and product development. Prior to that role, Ava was in private practice in the areas of insurance and administrative law. Ava has extensive experience in administrative law, professional indemnity and directors' and officers' insurance. She currently specialises in defending professional indemnity and directors' and officers' claims and in providing claims consultancy and claims advocacy services to insurers, intermediaries and small to large businesses.

Ava has a strong background in policy response and interpretation and in defending insurance claims.

She was admitted to practice as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 1995.
