Stephen Carcano is a senior associate in the Construction & Engineering Group. Stephen's main area of practice is negotiating, drafting and advising on construction, operation and related project documentation for major infrastructure, energy and commercial projects. Stephen also prepares suites of contracts for clients to use on multiple projects.

Stephen has extensive experience in a range of infrastructure sectors and the contracts specific to each, including roads, rail, airports, waste, water and wastewater, hospitals and schools. He also has experience in the power sector, including gas/oil-fired power plants and renewable energy projects such as onshore and offshore wind farms. Stephen has worked on international projects, and has acted variously for building contractors, FM contractors, sponsors/developers, lenders and statutory authorities.

Stephen is experienced in the resolution of construction disputes, including through adjudication under the Security of Payments Act, litigation and arbitration.

Stephen was admitted as a solicitor in 2002 and joined CBP in 2003. He worked for four years in London in the Infrastructure and Energy team of Norton Rose and rejoined CBP in 2010.
