Susannah Maclaren is a senior associate in the Insurance Division. Susannah specialises in professional indemnity, in particular, directors’ and officers’ liability and advises on issues of indemnity. She has experience in large-scale litigation and is involved in actions commenced by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission.
Susannah has a background in commercial litigation and has worked on various matters involving the Corporations Act.
Susannah was admitted as a solicitor in NSW in 1999 and as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2009. She is admitted to practise in the Supreme Court NSW, Federal Court and High Court of Australia. Susannah joined CBP in 2002 and returned to CBP in 2009 after working as a solicitor at Clyde & Co LLP in London between 2007 and 2009.
During her time in London Susannah gained experience in the Lloyd's and companies insurance markets as well as general commercial litigation. Whilst working in London Susannah also had the opportunity to act on behalf of clients in appeals to the Privy Council
