Brendan Maier is a partner in the Property and Development Group at CBP. He specialises in property and general commercial advice, with a special interest in finance and taxation issues affecting the property sector.
Brendan's clients are property developers, construction companies, state and local government authorities and investors. He advises on a range of transactions including site due diligence, acquisition and disposal, joint venture and development agreements, commercial office development and leasing, retail leasing, strata and community title laws, environmental pollution and remediation, serviced apartments and hotels including ASIC regulation, retirement villages, contractual disputes and the "off the plan" sales.
Before joining CBP in 2003 Brendan spent two years as internal legal counsel for one of Australia's largest property developers, providing him with a rare industry experience.
Admitted as a solicitor in 1997, Brendan practises in the Supreme Court of both NSW and ACT, Federal Court and High Court of Australia.
