Gary Newton is a partner in the Property & Development Group, with expertise in conveyancing, commercial and retail leasing and real estate subdivisions and developments. He has provided a wide range of property related advice to business, government and individuals.
Gary is co-author and co-editor of a new book titled "Annotated Conveyancing of Real Property Legislation in NSW 2009 Edition". Gary is also the co-author of LexisNexis Butterworth's NSW Conveyancing Service. He has authored other books on land law as well as numerous articles and he recently re-wrote the retail lease for the Real Estate Institute of NSW and he is presently updating their commercial lease. He has also been a keynote speaker and chairman at various property law master classes
Gary was admitted as a solicitor in NSW in 1983. He is admitted to practise in the Supreme Court of NSW, Federal Court and High Court of Australia. Gary joined CBP as a partner in 2002.
