Keith is a senior associate in the Insurance Group. He specialises in the areas of professional indemnity, financial institutions and directors’ and officers’ insurance, as well as commercial litigation.
Keith’s experience in Australia includes claims against construction professionals, insurance brokers and a significant claim against a top tier law firm. He has also acted for both insureds and insurers on policy disputes involving insurance and reinsurance agreements. Keith has authored numerous insurance-related articles, co-authored the chapter entitled, "Directors’ & Officers’ Liability" in the second edition of Directors Duties During Insolvency published by Thompson in January 2007 and has presented at various forums on insurance topics both in London and Australia.
Keith was admitted as an attorney in South Africa in 1995 and as a solicitor in England & Wales in 1999. Keith spent six years as a solicitor at Barlow Lyde & Gilbert in London gaining extensive experience in the Lloyd’s and companies’ insurance markets, with a particular specialisation in defending claims against financial services providers.
