Joanna Oakey is a senior associate in the Commercial & Corporate Group. Joanna has experience negotiating, documenting and advising on a wide variety of commercial transactions and arrangements for a diverse portfolio of organisations in the industries of manufacturing, retail, technology, pharmaceutical, medical, finance and professional services.
Joanna has assisted clients by providing legal advice, drafting and negotiations in balance with commercial imperatives in the areas of deal structuring, corporate structures and restructures, asset protection, business and share sale and purchase, joint ventures, asset sales, licensing, contract law, contract management, procurement, intellectual property, corporations law and compliance.
Prior to joining CBP, Joanna led her own commercial law practice and held positions as a director of various companies. She has conducted seminars and been invited to speak at events throughout Australia on behalf of various national and international companies and industry bodies in the areas of contract law, contract management, procurement law and compliance.
Joanna was admitted as a solicitor in NSW in 2002. She is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of NSW, Federal Court and High Court of Australia. Joanna joined CBP in 2008.
