Debbie has been a member of Colin Biggers & Paisley's insurance team since 2006 and became a partner in 2019. Debbie has expertise in the area of insurance litigation and focuses on the defence of general liability and professional indemnity claims. Debbie acts for insurers and corporations in Australia and overseas.

Debbie’s experience in personal injury litigation spans a range of claims from minor injuries to catastrophic injuries including paraplegia and quadriplegia cases. Debbie provides cost-effective and commercial solutions while representing a wide range of insured persons or entities, including occupiers, sporting venues, recreational activity operators, commercial building owners, principal contractors, host employers, hotels, clubs, supermarkets and retailers.

In the area of professional indemnity, Debbie has acted for doctors, architects, accountants, lawyers, engineers, chiropractors, physiotherapists, psychologists, nursing home operators, real estate agents, insurance brokers and a wide range of other professionals. She has practised extensively in the Local, District and Supreme Courts over multiple jurisdictions in addition to having experience with coronial inquests, the Health Care Complaints Commission, Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, Human Rights Commission and Office of the Privacy Commissioner. 

Debbie also has experience providing coverage advice with both general liability and professional indemnity policies of insurance.

In 2020, Doyle's Guide recommended Debbie as a Leading Public & Product Liability Lawyer (Defendant) in NSW. In the 2022 to 2024 editions of The Best Lawyers in Australia, she was listed for her expertise in Insurance law.

Debbie has a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws with Honours from the University of Adelaide.

Debbie was admitted as a solicitor in South Australia in 2005. She is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Federal Court and High Court of Australia. Before joining Colin Biggers & Paisley, Debbie practised in South Australia and Queensland.
