Colin Biggers & Paisley is pleased to announce the appointment of Angela Smith as a senior associate in the legal practice's insurance team in Brisbane.
The appointment further strengthens the insurance practice which is widely recognised for its expertise in the industry. The practice is ranked as band one in Chambers Asia Pacific for 2018, as well as the Best Lawyers "Law Firm of the Year" in Insurance Law in Australia for the 2018 and 2019 Editions.
Angela has more than 14 years' experience acting on behalf of insurers, underwriters, financial institutions, insured SMEs and professionals and has advised on complex professional lines claims against insurance, financial and property professionals, in addition to property damage and business interruption claims. She has expertise in professional indemnity, product liability, liability, commercial, and property/business interruption litigation.
"Angela's experience will be invaluable to the insurance practice and will be a great addition to our growing Brisbane team," said Vijay Edwards, Insurance partner.
Vijay said Angela's appointment is the most significant arrival since that of Michelle Taylor who joined the practice in June.
Angela said one of the things she was most looking forward to about her move to Colin Biggers & Paisley is the national and international reach of the practice,
