Colin Biggers & Paisley is pleased to announce their latest round of promotions, with three lawyers appointed to senior positions.

Effective 1 January, Chris Jones has been promoted to partner, Nadia Czachor has been promoted to special counsel and Angela Spear has been promoted to senior associate.

Chris Jones is based in the legal practice's Melbourne office and works in the insurance team. Chris has expertise in professional indemnity claims, acting mainly for lawyers and their insurers. He has also acted for other professionals, including surveyors, conveyancers, valuers, engineers and financial advisors. He has represented insurers in a range of transport work, including marine recoveries and claims arising from road and sea carriage of goods.

Nadia Czachor is the planning and environment team in Brisbane. She has over ten years' experience conducting planning litigation and advising on planning law for public and private sector clients. She has extensive experience advising on planning appeals, acting for local governments in enforcement litigation for development offences, advising local government and development clients on statutory requirements for all aspects of development and preparing transactional due diligence reports about environment and planning law matters.

Angela Spear is in the property and development team in Brisbane. She has significant experience in property development and acts for several long-standing large property developer clients. Angela takes a hands-on role with all property aspects of her clients' operations, from due diligence and acquisition of development sites, through to supervising and managing the bulk lot conveyancing upon completion of developments.

This announcement follows the appointments of special counsels Michael Nguyen and Trevor Ho to its insurance practice, and senior associate Brooke Gilbey to its commercial litigation practice.
