Colin Biggers & Paisley is pleased to announce the appointment of Georgina Wong as special counsel in the legal practice's insurance team in Brisbane.

Georgina's practice focuses on public liability personal injury claims arising from incidents involving construction sites and other workplaces, sporting organisations (both amateur and professional), licensed venues, shopping centres, as well as occupiers' liability and product liability. She also has a thorough knowledge of all Queensland personal injury and safety legislation.

Managing Partner Nick Crennan is delighted to welcome Georgina to the team and said that the insurance practice's rapid growth this year is in line with the practice's strategy to leverage its strong reputation in all of its expertise areas and provide clients along the eastern seaboard with top legal services.

"Our insurance practice's skills and experience in insurance law is recognised both in Australia and internationally, which is why we are able to attract talent of a high calibre. Georgina's experience and expertise in public liability will further strengthen our Brisbane team's offering."

Georgina's appointment is the latest in a string of recent hires for the insurance practice. Just last week the practice announced the appointment of senior associate Mathisha Panagoda, and in April announced the appointments of special counsel Susannah Maclaren and senior associate Lauren Piscioneri. In January, special counsel Michelle Morgan was appointed.
