National legal practice Colin Biggers & Paisley has appointed two of its partners to lead two of the practice's key practice areas, as a result of an internal leadership re-alignment following the practice's recent Annual General Meeting.

Accomplished Sydney-based Banking and Finance partner Kate Craig will now lead the practice's Commercial and Dispute Resolution (CDR) group as national co-Head of Group, alongside Peter Harkin and Jon Meadmore.

Cathryn Prowse, a leading insurance partner based in the Melbourne office, will also now take on the role as national co-Head of Group for the Insurance practice, together with Sydney partner Gavin Creighton.

"These are significant appointments for us," said managing partner, Nick Crennan. "Both Kate and Cathryn are highly experienced and very well regarded practitioners in their individual practices, and are outstanding leaders and proponents of our culture and values."

Kate Craig joined Colin Biggers & Paisley as a solicitor in 2006 and has been a partner since 2016. Kate's practice focuses on banking and finance law with emphasis on corporate and construction finance, acting primarily for international and Australian banks and corporate borrowers.

Cathryn Prowse joined Colin Biggers & Paisley in 2012 as a partner, with extensive experience in litigation and dispute resolution in Victorian and federal jurisdictions. Cathryn's expertise encompasses professional indemnity, management liability and EPL insurance claims, and she acts for a wide range of Australian and London-based insurers and professional entities.

“I look forward to working with Kate and Cathryn in these leadership roles and I am confident they will continue to make a significant contribution to the ongoing success and growth of our practice,” Mr Crennan said.
