A member of the insurance team since 2017 and partner since 2023, Tim has extensive experience working in insurance and commercial litigation for some of Australia's largest insurers.

Tim has acted in numerous public liability, product liability and property damage matters. He has practical experience in litigation including advising on claims brought against local councils, residential home owners, building companies, supermarkets, shopping centres, hospitals, owners of commercial premises, exhibition centres, logistics companies and retail stores. Tim also has significant experience in workers' compensation claims. 

Litigated matters Tim has worked on include advising clients on matters involving complex expert evidence in claims brought under the Australian Consumer Law, assessing property damage claims in class action litigation, representing clients at coronial inquests, advice on medical panel referrals, defending and pursuing claims at VCAT under the Water Act 1989, acting for self-insurers for matters arising under the Accident Compensation Act 1985 and the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 (Vic), preparing serious injury responses under this legislation and defending public liability claims primarily under the Wrongs Act 1958 (Vic). 

Tim has appeared at the Supreme Court, County Court, VCAT and Magistrates’ Court and has experience in New South Wales, South Australia, Queensland and Western Australia jurisdictions. 

Tim holds a Bachelor of Journalism in addition to a Bachelor of Laws from Monash University. Tim was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria on 13 August 2013 and is also admitted to practice in the High Court of Australia. 

In the 2023 edition of the Best Lawyers in Australia, Tim was listed in the inaugural Ones to Watch category for Litigation.
