Ingrid Lehmann is a senior associate in the insurance team. She has more than ten years' experience in insurance law, particularly in the area of professional indemnity.
Ingrid's experience includes reviewing policy wordings and advising underwriters on indemnity, including the application of the Insurance Contracts Act 1984 (Cth), issues of non-disclosure, prior known claims and circumstances, fraud, and whether the claim occurred in the conduct of the professional services. She also provides comprehensive and complex advice on liability and quantum.
Ingrid acts for a wide range of professions, including engineers, draftsmen and architects, psychologists, real estate agents, building and pest inspectors, valuers, and accountants and bookkeepers. She has conducted proceedings in various courts and tribunals across multiple jurisdictions, including the Supreme Court of Queensland, Supreme Court of Victoria, Western Australian District Court, Federal Court, QCAT, NCAT, and VCAT.
Ingrid was admitted to practice in Queensland in 2009 and holds a Master of Laws with a major in commercial law.
