Colin Biggers & Paisley Lawyers advise Affinity on its $75.5 million ASX listing and acquisition of 68 childcare centres

Colin Biggers & Paisley Lawyers congratulates Affinity Education Group Limited on the successful completion of its initial public offering (IPO) and listing on the Australian Securities Exchange on 9 December 2013.

Colin Biggers & Paisley Lawyers acted as legal adviser to Affinity during the IPO process, which included a $75.5 million capital raising and the acquisition of 68 childcare centres across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and the Northern Territory. The Lead Manager and underwriter to the IPO was CBA Equities Limited.

Colin Biggers & Paisley Lawyers partners Rick Anthon and Brent Van Staden led the firm’s team for the IPO, while senior associate Anthony Ford and partner Rhett Oliver led the firm’s team for the centre acquisitions.

It was the largest non-resource IPO in Queensland for 2013 and closed oversubscribed. Since listing, the Affinity share price has rapidly increased, reaching a recent high of $1.40 on 16 January 2014 (up 40% from the IPO offer price).
