Leading national law practice Colin Biggers & Paisley has welcomed new partner Sara McRostie to its Brisbane Employment and Safety team.

The appointment further bolsters the position of the team, recognised in the Legal 500 for its ‘speedy, knowledgeable and commercial’ practice and for the handling of a wide range of employment work, including transactional matters, employee restraint and compensation as well as workplace investigations.

Sara has a particular practice focus advising on workplace issues including workplace restructuring, executive terminations, employee entitlements, workplace investigations and managing long term ill and injured employees.

She has extensive experience in enterprise bargaining, providing support to employers throughout the enterprise bargaining and appearing before the Fair Work Commission.

Sara said she was delighted to be joining Colin Biggers & Paisley.

"I am very much looking forward to working with the growing employment and safety team," she said.

"Particularly one that is so passionate about employment and industrial relations law."

Jon Meadmore, partner and head of the Commercial and Commercial team said Sara's appointment will help the practice meet ever-growing client demand,

"Over the past two years the practice has grown considerably, across all our offices and particularly in Brisbane," Jon said.

"The team is going from strength to strength and we're pleased to continue to attract lawyers of Sara's calibre. Her expertise, particularly in enterprise bargaining will further complement our offering to the market."

The announcement follows the appointment of Insurance partner Michelle Taylor and the practice's largest round of promotions in July.
