Colin Biggers & Paisley is pleased to announce the appointment of Michelle Taylor to the practice's Transport and Logistics group and its Brisbane insurance team.

The appointment further strengthens the Colin Biggers & Paisley's insurance practice which was recently ranked to be band one in Chambers Asia Pacific for 2018, as well as the Best Lawyers "Law Firm of the Year" in Insurance Law in Australia for the 2018 and 2019 Editions. Its partners and shipping practice have also long been recognised as a leading practice in these and other similar publications.

Michelle has more than 20 years' experience in maritime and insurance law practice. She has been recognised internationally in Chambers Asia Pacific as a Leading Lawyer in Shipping since 2013 for her comprehensive knowledge of marine casualties, including groundings, collisions, pollution, salvage and wreck removal. Michelle has significant experience in ship building and charterparty disputes in the Asia Pacific region. She also has depth of knowledge in relation to the road transport industry and has been involved in the defence of prosecutions under the chain of responsibility legislation and the Heavy Vehicle National Law.
