This week, Colin Biggers & Paisley's management team and partners have been monitoring the COVID-19 situation closely. We have alternative arrangements in place to ensure we continue to supply 'business as usual' services to clients while still ensuring their safety that of our staff and partners, and the health and wellbeing of the broader community generally.

Encouraging flexible working

Over the next few days, as conditions dictate, we will be transitioning our teams to alternative working arrangements, including working remotely. We are making this transition gradually, to ensure we support the health and wellbeing of our people, clients and the community around us, while also delivering uninterrupted service to our clients. We are well-resourced for remote working and are confident that there will be minimal disruption to client services during this time.

Online meeting capability

We continue to have our Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne offices open for business. However, we have asked our people to avoid face to face client meetings and direct client contact at our offices or yours unless absolutely necessary. We will also have registration requirements for all visitors to our offices. Clients and visitors who have travelled overseas within the past 14 days, come into close contact with a suspected or positive case of COVID-19 or are showing symptoms will be asked to meet by phone or video, rather than face-to-face. We have a full range of zoom and other video and audio-conferencing facilities available for this purpose. We would encourage you to contact your CBP contact partner by phone or email with any immediate questions on this - they are available at all times to answer these questions and help you with any other legal needs.

We are also continuing to monitor the broader advice from health authorities and will update our clients should we need to change any of our current arrangements.

Supporting your business through this challenging time

If you have any questions about our business continuity response plan we would be happy to answer these and provide additional advice and information around our COVID-19 planning. We also have a cross-practice and sector team of experts who are considering the legal and commercial implications of COVID-19 for businesses so please feel free to contact me, or your relevant CBP contact partner, if you require any advice or assistance in this area.

We are committed to ensuring everyone's health and safety during this time. We look forward to continuing to provide you with help, advice and services, in a safe and sustainable manner.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me or your CBP team if you have any questions or concerns.
