Alan is a special counsel in the property and development team. Alan has more than 20 years' experience in the property industry, with a particular focus on property and commercial transactions.
Alan's key areas of practice are property and projects, including complex commercial property, development projects, and related transactions; management rights; and body corporate and community title. Alan also advises on leasing and licenses, easements, covenants, caveats, land due diligence, and planning and environmental compliance. His experience includes drafting and negotiating contracts for all types and sizes of properties from houses, vacant land, off-the-plan CTS, to mixed/residential and commercial, and office buildings.
Alan's clients include property developers, commercial property owners and investors, body corporates and managers, business owners, landowners, local governments, lessors and lessees, and landlords and tenants.
Alan has a Bachelor and Master of Laws and was admitted to practice in 1993. He is a member of the Australian Resident Accommodation Managers Association, and was a former part-time lecturer in real estate agency law at the Real Estate Institute of Queensland.
