John is a senior associate in Colin Biggers & Paisley's corporate and dispute resolution practice.
John's primary area of practice is in restructuring and insolvency, with particular expertise in complex advice, transactions and large-scale litigation. He acts for all insolvency stakeholders in relation to bankruptcy, corporate restructures, receiverships, liquidation, security enforcement and debt recovery. John also has significant experience in both commercial and civil dispute resolution, including complex disputes relating to taxation, construction and property law.
In addition, John has experience in commercial insurance, acting for clients in relation to class actions, coverage issues, and large-scale disputes arising under the Corporations Act and Personal Property and Securities Act.
John has strong advocacy skills and is well-versed in identifying complex evidential issues, having practised as a Federal Prosecutor for the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions.
John was admitted to practice as a solicitor in NSW in April 2017 and to the High Court in December 2017. He has since appeared as advocate in contested applications in the Local, District and Supreme Courts of New South Wales and the Federal Court of Australia.
He re-joined Colin Biggers & Paisley in 2021.
