Phi has been providing advice on immigration and visa matters to Australian and International business for over a decade. Phi has extensive experience working with businesses in various industry sectors and has exposure to the issues and challenges faced by businesses in a commercial environment. She is experienced in delivering practical immigration advice and commercially focused solutions that work for clients. 

Phi's practice focus includes:

  • Provision of strategic immigration advice and mitigating risk for clients on visa requirements and strategic workforce planning, structuring in-house visa compliance management programs, transitioning 457/TSS visa holders to new legal entities and business establishing operations in Australia.
  • Mobilising workforces to fill skills shortages by supporting clients with end-to-end service including preparation, lodgement and management of visa applications.
  • Resolving and managing compliance issues such as acting on behalf of clients in relation to monitoring requests and notices of intention to take actions regarding alleged breaches of Employer Sanctions Provisions and sponsorship obligations. Advising clients how to manage breaches of visa conditions including breaching work restrictions and overstay of visas by employees.

Phi is experienced and well versed in other areas of Australian immigration law such as Business Visas for high net worth individuals, General Skilled Migration and Partner visas. Phi has achieved successful outcomes for clients through appeals with the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and Ministerial Intervention requests.

Phi is passionate about innovation and developing new ways to deliver legal services that will prepare clients for the challenges of tomorrow. She enjoys working in partnership with clients to tailor solutions that work for their business and mitigate risk. Her experience and expertise has led to the creation of CBP Immi Manager, an online portal that facilitates efficient case management and allows clients to generate real time reports and manage their compliance with sponsorship obligations.

As well as holding a Bachelor of Economics and Laws, Phi has a Bachelor of Arts (Honors), and a Graduate Certificate in Migration Law and Practice. She is a regular CPD presenter to industry peers on the TSS visa and complex immigration law issues and has was also given lectures on Current Issues in Migration Law and Practice at Griffith University.
