A special counsel in the insurance team, Susannah has over 18 years’ experience as an insurance and disputes solicitor in Australia and the UK, and is experienced in complex litigation, including class actions.
 
Susannah has significant expertise in financial services regulation and remediation and has advised financial service providers across a broad range of issues, including dispute resolution, remediation and compliance. Susannah has also represented domestic and foreign insurers in relation to coverage disputes and has acted on behalf of corporations, professional advisers and directors.

After returning from the UK in 2009, Susannah worked at Colin Biggers & Paisley between 2009 and 2014 before spending five years as a senior legal counsel in the Wealth Legal team at a large Australian bank. As team lead for the Wealth Disputes team, Susannah advised on matters arising in the wealth business involving dispute resolution, remediation and financial services regulation. 

Susannah holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney, a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning. Susannah was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 17 December 1999 and admitted to the Federal Court and High Court of Australia in 2004. 

Outisde of Colin Biggers & Paisley, Susannah enjoys spending time with her family, as well as travelling extensively and taking art classes.
