Andrew is a forward thinking commercial and corporate lawyer with more than 40 years' experience advising on complex domestic and international commercial transactions. He has a sharp focus on working with clients to define and achieve business goals and outcomes.
Possessing strong commercial skills that distinguish him from his peers, Andrew is involved in the corporate governance aspects of boards and the interplay with directors' duties and responsibilities. He holds several directorships and advisory board positions, taking on the role of “independent director”. Andrew adeptly straddles the line between board room functions and responsibilities and those of adviser to C suite executives, having successfully fused together the roles of trusted corporate advisor, mentor and confidant.
Andrew is an articulate team player with an extensive business network. He is highly regarded by clients and peers who appreciate his approachable manner and innate understanding of the requirements of business. He is at ease in providing strategic advice to business involving corporate governance and fund raising (Corporations Act and ASX listings), mergers and acquisitions and the Federal Government contracts sector. Andrew's professional industry sector experience covers real estate, logistics, media, defence, manufacturing and primary industry.
Andrew was admitted to practice in 1981 and is a Graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Economics.
Andrew joined Colin Biggers & Paisley in 2021 as part of the Logie-Smith Lanyon merger team.
