A special counsel in the corporate and commercial team since 2021, Sue has more than 20 years of experience advising private companies and family businesses in a range of commercial matters, including mergers and acquisitions, business structuring and joint ventures, business licensing, franchising, corporations compliance and fundraising, and business advisory.

Sue's experience includes advising on legal and commercial issues relating to the Corporations Act, Australian Consumer Law and the Personal Property Securities Act.

Sue also advises clients on implementing appropriate estate and incapacity planning strategies, including power of attorney, to ensure their personal and business assets are protected, managed and transferred in accordance with their wishes. She assists executors and administrators to obtain grants of probate, letters of administration and reseals, and to administer estates in accordance with wills, or under intestacy law. Sue also acts for clients in estate disputes.

Sue's clients appreciate her ability to explain complex legal concepts in plain language, as well as her empathy and willingness to take the time to listen to their concerns. 

In addition to her Bachelor of Laws, Sue holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne. Sue was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria in May 2001 and the High Court of Australia.
