A member of the insurance team since 2019 and a senior associate since 2021, Nelson acts for clients and insurers as both defence and coverage counsel with a focus on professional indemnity disputes.
Nelson has extensive experience defending public liability matters and pursuing subrogated recoveries on behalf of insurers.
Nelson has a particular interest in construction risk ranging from large-scale infrastructure projects to smaller residential matters.
In the 2024 edition of The Best Lawyers in Australia, Nelson is listed in the Ones to Watch category for Insurance Law.
In addition to his Bachelor of Laws, Nelson hold a Bachelor of Commerce. Nelson was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2016 and is also admitted to the High Court of Australia.
