Georgia Arya is a Special Counsel in the Property and Development team and the Hotels, Tourism and Hospitality group at Colin Biggers & Paisley. Georgia has been practising law since 2005, acting on major projects in Australia, the Middle East and internationally.

Georgia’s expertise includes all aspects of real estate and hotel development, including acquisition, sale, leasing, corporate structuring, licensing, administration, branding and hotel management.

In her previous roles as Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel, she was responsible for the legal affairs of the groups’ companies consisting of many major projects and other business entities held in respective portfolios. Having operated as the client for so many years, Georgia has the advantage of understanding how a client views the external legal services provider and the type of legal support that is vital for companies.

Acting in relation to assets in the Middle East, Australia, East Africa, Asia, Europe, United Kingdom and America, Georgia has gained international experience across various sectors liaising with numerous company boards, shareholders and government entities.

Georgia holds a Bachelor of Laws from Bond University, Queensland. She is admitted to practice in the Queensland Supreme Court since 2005 and is a member of the Queensland Law Society. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree in addition to a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
