In 2021, Ece became a member of Colin Biggers & Paisley's national restructuring and insolvency team in our Melbourne office following the merger with Logie-Smith Lanyon Lawyers. 

Ece has over 20 years of experience in both personal and corporate insolvency advice and litigation, including bankruptcy and winding up proceedings, voluntary administrations, company liquidations and receiverships. She acts for insurers, company directors, distressed individuals and insolvency practitioners.

Ece has conducted complex commercial litigation in a variety of jurisdictions, including both state and federal courts, ranging from urgent interlocutory applications to trials, right through to appeals. She acts in a range of matters, including recovery of large international debts, commercial contractual disputes, shareholder and corporation disputes, trade practices claims, and freezing orders/Anton Piller orders. 

Ece also acts in litigation proceedings relating to property and construction disputes, and mortgage recovery, including both possession and enforcement proceedings. Her experience encompasses conducting insurance litigation relating to property damage and consequential economic loss with respect to heavy vehicles and fatalities. This includes acting in a number of matters in the Federal Court of Australia for clients under section 51 of the Insurance Contracts Act 1984 (Cth).

Ece is well regarded by her clients who see her as the steady hand that brings stability and peace of mind into uncertain and difficult financial situations. Her focus is on relieving clients of financial difficulty, which may involve restructuring, protecting their assets, and safeguarding against potential insolvent situations.

Ece holds a Bachelor of Laws and was admitted to practice in 2000.
