Colin Biggers & Paisley is delighted to announce the appointment of senior associates Richard Diqer and Tyrone Prisk to the employment and safety team, based in Brisbane. Richard and Tyrone's appointments strengthen the team's capabilities and reflect the practice's commitment to meeting the evolving needs of clients across its industries of focus.

Richard has expertise in employment, unfair dismissal, work health and safety, workplace investigations and industrial relations. He manages complex enterprise agreement matters and has experience in drafting various employment and contractor agreements for a range of industries including faith-based enterprise, aged care and education. 

He advises on general employment and industrial relations matters and has expertise in workplace health and safety, injury management, and workers' compensation matters, as well as local government laws related to corrupt conduct. He has also conducted workplace investigations including whistleblower investigations, investigations for faith-based enterprises, education providers and investigations referred back to Local Government Councils by the Crime and Corruption Commission.

Tyrone brings extensive expertise in enterprise bargaining, employment contracts, discrimination, general protections, unfair dismissal, restraint of trade, industrial disputes, case management and litigation. His valuable insights and pragmatic approach enable him to deliver commercially sound solutions to clients, ensuring their best interests are safeguarded.

In addition to his employment law expertise, Tyrone possesses significant experience in local government matters, having worked in local government for over 13 years. His local government experience includes advising clients on a range of local government-related employment issues, general litigation and appearing in prosecutions and sentencing hearings. This bolsters the Brisbane employment and safety team's strong experience and offering in this sector. 

With his wealth of knowledge and experience in employment and industrial relations matters, Tyrone will play an important role in providing strategic advice to clients.
