Leading national law practice Colin Biggers & Paisley is continuing to expand its property and development team with the appointments of special counsel John Douglas and paralegal Zac Ramli in Sydney, and senior associate Cammie Lee in Melbourne.

John is re-joining Colin Biggers & Paisley and brings a wealth of experience in commercial property law, with specific expertise in commercial, industrial and retail leasing as well as property acquisition and disposal. John regularly acts for both landlords and tenants, which gives him a deep understanding of leasing transactions from different perspectives.

Cammie has acted on complex property transactions, including significant property subdivisions for land and build form property, the acquisition and sale of commercial and residential properties, and the project financing of residential and land developments.

Cammie brings a unique set of expertise with her banking and finance background. She has assisted high-net-worth private lenders and investors in relation to the investment and financing of property developments and construction projects.

Partner and National Head of Property and Development, Rhett Oliver said the appointments are part of the practice's focus on delivering the best end-to-end property and development solutions across Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney.

"We are extremely pleased to see John and Zac return to the practice and to welcome Cammie to the team. I am confident in our position in the market providing exceptional legal service focusing on the complete property development life cycle. This offering sets us apart from other service providers in the market. John's expertise in leasing, coupled with his sales and disposal experience, complements our offering in Sydney perfectly," Mr Oliver said.

Commenting on his return, John said the expansion of the practice and the calibre of clients and culture within the practice drew him back.

"I am delighted to be back at Colin Biggers & Paisley. The technical expertise of the team, the varied and interesting work along with the collaborative culture of the team, made it an easy decision for me to come back. The growth of the practice over the last year has been incredible and I am pleased to be joining a practice that is in a strong position to provide exceptional service to clients," Mr Douglas said.

Cammie's experience in property and banking and finance ensures she is delivering advice that is centred on sound commercial and financial outcomes.

"The property and development team has a strong reputation in the market and advises some of the largest private developers in Australia. We have a number of significant projects in the pipeline and I am excited to be joining Colin Biggers & Paisley during a time of continued growth," Ms Lee said.

This announcement follows the appointment of senior associate Stephen Webb to the property and development team in Brisbane.
