A special counsel in the insurance team since 2022, Hilary practises principally in professional indemnity insurance law, specifically defending claims against solicitors and barristers.

Her experience also extends to commercial litigation including advising in relation to joint venture and unit holder disputes.

Hilary advises in relation to negligence, breach of contract, solicitor's equitable duties, proportionate liability, defences of advocates' immunity, the Australian Consumer Law, and the Corporations Act 2001.

Hilary was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria on 18 May 2005 and is also admitted to practice in the High Court of New Zealand and the Federal Court of Australia.
