Colin Biggers & Paisley strengthens national Employment & Safety practice with strategic Partner appointment

Colin Biggers & Paisley is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew Giles as Partner in its Employment & Safety team, reinforcing the practice’s strong growth and breadth both in Queensland and nationally.
Based in Brisbane, Matthew brings extensive expertise in work health and safety (WHS), regulatory compliance and employment law. He advises clients across a broad range of industries on incident response and management, officer liability, regulatory notices, coronial inquests, and the defence of prosecutions. Matthew also represents clients in relation to investigations and prosecutions by the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) for breaches of the Heavy Vehicle National Law.
In addition to his safety and regulatory credentials, Matthew is highly experienced in employment law matters, including conducting workplace investigations, providing advice regarding management and discipline of employees, and defending employment and industrial disputes. His unique experience and skill set further strengthen the national Employment & Safety team, joining fellow Partners Megan Kavanagh, Kristen Lopes, Adam Foster and Cormack Dunn, completing its full-service offering to clients.
