Abbi Souchon

Overview

Abbi has worked with a diverse range of clients across the industry, including principals, contractors, subcontractors and consultants. Her practice includes advising on disputes during project delivery, contract administration and post completion disputes. This includes proceedings in the New South Wales, Supreme, District and Local Courts, Federal Court of Australia and New South Wales Civil and Administrative Tribunal, expert determinations and matters under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act 1999 (NSW), Home Building Act 1989 (NSW) and Design and Building Practitioners Act 2020 (NSW).

She has worked on multi-faceted projects in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands ranging from standalone residential developments through to large scale infrastructure projects, including roads, water, railways, train stations, agricultural facilities and airports.

Abbi holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Otago. She was admitted to the High Court of New Zealand in 2019, admitted to practice in New South Wales in 2024 and the High Court of Australia in 2025.
