A partner in Colin Biggers & Paisley’s Brisbane Construction & Engineering team, Blake advises project owners, contractors and major industry clients across the full project lifecycle, working across the property and construction, government and renewables sectors.
Overview
Blake is known for his clear, commercially focused advice and his ability to navigate complex projects from both a delivery and risk perspective. With experience across bespoke procurement models, contract negotiation and dispute resolution, he brings a practical approach, supporting confident decision making at each stage of a project.
Blake has a strong background advising on real estate and major development projects, including building and construction, banking and finance, property and planning and environment. He regularly appears in the Supreme Courts of Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia and has experience in domestic and international arbitration and adjudications under security of payment regimes across Australia.
Blake was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2013. He holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Business majoring in Finance from the Queensland University of Technology. Blake is also a member of the Queensland Law Society and the Society of Construction Law Australia.
