David Miller

Overview

David is also experienced in corporate governance and risk management, Australian Consumer Law issues and general commercial disputes. He has advised several overseas clients on product liability and recall issues.

In the regulatory space, David has acted for various parties called to give evidence before the NSW Independent Commission Against Corruption and continues to provide advice to clients in ICAC-related matters, regulator actions involving the ACCC and various WorkCover authorities.

As a former in-house counsel, David is acutely aware of the reputational and financial risks which can arise when a claim is made or a large dispute occurs and works with his clients to proactively address those aspects of the dispute resolution process.

David holds a Diploma of Laws and a Master of Laws. He was admitted to practice in NSW and Federal courts on 14 July 2000.

David sits on the Professional Conduct Committee, the Disclosure Committee and the Ethics Committee (Chair 2021 - 2024) of the Law Society of New South Wales. David is a member of the Human Research Ethics Committee of the Sydney-based Centre for Digestive Diseases and is also a board member for Twilight Aged Care.

He is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales, Australian Insurance Law Association, Defense Research Institute (US) and the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel (US).
