Gareth specialises in insurance applicable to the construction sector, including professional indemnity and construction risk insurance. Gareth has acted for a wide range of participants in the construction sector, including principals, head and subcontractors, suppliers, owners’ corporations, architectural and engineering firms, as well as Commonwealth, State, and Local Government entities. He has litigated across multiple Australian jurisdictions and at all court levels. Gareth also has significant experience in alternative dispute resolution, including commercial arbitration, expert determination, and security of payment adjudications.
Gareth was formerly a Tipstaff to a judge in the Equity Division of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. Gareth was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2019. He graduated from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours Class 1 and Faculty Medal) and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours Class 1 and Faculty Medal).
