Jennifer is an insurance and commercial litigation lawyer focused on financial lines insurance, particularly professional indemnity and directors & officers (D&O) liability. She acts for major insurers in Australia and London on complex claims, coverage disputes and matters arising from the financial services and corporate sectors.
Overview
Jennifer has a broad litigation practice and has successfully defended a range of companies and professionals. In particular, she is experienced in handling claims against professionals in the financial services and fintech sectors, including accountants, auditors and financial advisers.
Her practice also extends to defending D&O, management liability and employment liability claims as well as commercial and contractual disputes.
Jennifer also specialises in complex insurance coverage disputes and litigation. She provides commercial, strategic advice and often represents insurers on multi-layer towers. She has represented insurers on some of Australia’s largest coverage disputes, including shareholder class actions, regulatory proceedings and remediation programs.
Jennifer co-authored the Australasian publication of the WTW Global Directors’ and Officers’ Survey Report 2025 and authored the Fintech Chapter in the textbook ‘The Global Insurance Market and Change: Emerging Technologies, Risks and Legal Challenges’.
Jennifer is the current secretary of the Australasian Professional Indemnity Group (Queensland Chapter) and has been a committee member for the last six years. She is listed in the Doyles Guide as a Leading Professional Indemnity Lawyer in Queensland (2025) and won the Australasian Lawyer Rising Star Award in 2023.
Jennifer was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Queensland in December 2015. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Economics from the University of Queensland and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
