Leanne joined Colin Biggers & Paisley's property and development team in 2010 and became a partner in 2011. Leanne is a highly regarded commercial litigator with over 20 years of experience handling litigated disputes across a variety of industries. From 2015 to 2020, Leanne served as the practice leader of the corporate and dispute resolution team, and is currently leading the property disputes and advisory team.
Leanne specialises in commercial dispute resolution with a particular emphasis on property and leasing, strata law, land contracts and access to land issues. She has experience in alternative dispute resolution, including expert determination and mediation.
Leanne handles all aspects of contested business and real estate related matters. Working closely with our transactional team, Leanne has particular expertise in developing strategies and systems to reduce, manage or resolve disputes. If litigation is necessary, Leanne is experienced in dealing with complex disputes and leads a team of lawyers specialising in dispute resolution.
Leanne represents small businesses, landowners, owners corporations, and corporate clients in complex business and property disputes. Acting in partnership with the Australian Institute of Conveyancers (AIC), Leanne also provides strategic advice and represents AIC members and their clients.
Leanne is the client relationship manager for a number of Colin Biggers & Paisley’s key clients, including the Illawarra Community Housing Trust, Boral and the Australian Institute of Conveyancers.
Leanne is appointed to the UDIA NSW Land Development Committee. Leanne welcomes the opportunity to advocate for a positive regulatory environment and contribute to the future of our urban environments.
In 2019, Leanne was a part of the Property Team of the Year, awarded by Lawyers Weekly. In the 2024 edition of The Best Lawyers in Australia, Leanne is listed for her expertise in Real Property Law.
Leanne is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of NSW, Federal Court and High Court of Australia. Leanne also appears before the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
