A partner in Colin Biggers & Paisley's property and development team since 2015, Matthew has over 20 years of experience in commercial property law. His focus is on commercial property and projects, leasing, government advisory, insolvency and land tax appeal work.

Matthew has substantial expertise in all real property-related work, including commercial acquisitions and disposals, due diligence, property development and corporate advisory.

He has acted for federal and state government departments, statutory bodies, property developers, institutional property owners and high net wealth private clients with significant exposure to major transactions interstate and overseas.

Matthew has significant experience in commercial and industrial property acquisition, leasing and development and has been a member of the Queensland Division of the Property Council of Australia’s Industrial Property Committee. He frequently speaks at internal and external industry-focused presentations.

In the 2019 and 2022 editions of Doyle's Guide, Matthew is listed as a leading Property and Real Estate Lawyer in Queensland. In the 2020 to 2024 editions of The Best Lawyers in Australia, Matthew was recognised for his expertise in Real Property Law. In the 2021 to 2024 editions, Best Lawyers also recognised his expertise in Leasing.

Matthew holds a Bachelor of Business and a Bachelor of Laws. He was admitted to practice in Queensland in 1998.
