Colin Biggers & Paisley is pleased to announce the appointment of Mathisha Panagoda as senior associate in the legal practice's insurance team in Sydney.

Mathisha has represented both plaintiff and defendant clients in litigated proceedings across most Australian jurisdictions and in the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. His clients include schools and religious institutions for whom he acts on a wide range of matters.

Mathisha's areas of expertise include litigation, compensation, alternative dispute resolution, not-for-profit, intellectual property and entertainment law.

Managing Partner Nick Crennan notes that the insurance practice has undergone significant growth recently and is delighted to welcome Mathisha to the team.

"We are well known in the insurance industry for our knowledge and insight and the team continues to attract exceptional talent allowing us to offer our clients top-of-market expertise. Mathisha brings a broad variety of skills to our insurance practice and his Royal Commission experience in particular will be invaluable to the team."

In April the practice announced the appointments of special counsel Susannah Maclaren and senior associate Lauren Piscioneri to the insurance team, and earlier this year insurance special counsel Michelle Morgan was appointed.
