A member of the insurance team since 2019 and a senior associate since 2020, Simone's core expertise includes acting in public liability matters, occupier's liability and professional indemnity claims.
Simone has extensive experience assisting health professionals to respond to complaints made to the Health Care Complaints Commission and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
Simone is an experienced litigator who acts for insurers, commercial property owners, property managers, occupiers, principal contractors, host employers, sporting associations, lawyers, medical organisations and practitioners, government departments and individuals in general liability and professional indemnity claims.
Simone has defended various clients before the Local, District, and Supreme Courts, as well as the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal and the NSW Health Care Complaints Commission.
Since 2011, Simone has worked exclusively in civil litigation. She has experience representing government clients in class actions and catastrophic injury claims in the United Kingdom.
In the 2024 edition of The Best Lawyers in Australia, Simone was listed in the Ones to Watch category for Insurance law.
In addition to holding a Bachelor of Laws and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, Simone holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in politics. Simone was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2011.
Originally from the beautiful South Coast of New South Wales, Simone is an avid hiker and traveller and is currently trying her hand at bouldering and rock climbing.
