Colin Biggers & Paisley is pleased to announce the appointment of special counsel Lisa Chapman to its national restructuring and insolvency team.

Lisa has significant experience in restructuring and insolvency and commercial litigation. She acts for insolvency practitioners as well as major secured creditors, with a focus on clients in the building and construction and property industries.

Lisa is the latest appointment to the restructuring and insolvency practice, which operates within the broader dispute resolution group. She joins partner Glen Williams who joined the practice in October 2018.

Managing Partner Nick Crennan recognises the practice's reputation in this area and is delighted to welcome Lisa to the team.

"Colin Biggers & Paisley is well known in the restructuring and insolvency space, with the team working on many major insolvencies and corporate restructures over the last decade. The team has developed a particular niche in providing independent high-end advice to directors, corporations and restructuring professionals and Lisa's skills will further enhance our offerings. Her experience with the building, construction and property industries will complement our depth of expertise in these areas well."

The legal practice recently welcomed partner Toby Norgate to its corporate and commercial team, and senior associates Mary Kinna and Alicia Taylor to its insurance team. It also announced its 1 July senior promotions; partner Allan Lonergan, special counsels Thanh Bui and Chris Jones, and senior associates Emily Brownlee, Daniel Kim, Jemma McLaughlin and Kerry O'Brien.
