Allan joined Colin Biggers & Paisley's property and development team in 2018 and became a partner in 2019. Allan has over 14 years of experience in property law and dispute resolution. He brings a unique perspective to his clients having worked in private practice, at the Queensland Bar, and as General Counsel and Company Secretary of Racing Queensland where he advised on a range of regulatory, governance and commercial matters.

Allan has established a property disputes practice, focusing on statutory land valuation matters, compulsory acquisition, resumption and compensation matters, mining land access and compensation matters, sale and purchase of land matters and he has been involved in a number of commercial disputes.

He has extensive dispute resolution experience including, land valuation disputes, compensation disputes, community titles schemes disputes, building and construction disputes and disputes relating to the sale and purchase of land.

Allan has appeared in various courts and tribunals, including the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court, District Court, Planning and Environment Court, Magistrates Court, Land Court and the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

In the 2021 to 2024 editions of The Best Lawyers in Australia, Allan is listed for his expertise in Land Use and Zoning Law.

Allan has a Bachelor and Master of Laws. Allan was admitted as a solicitor in 2004 and is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia.
