Rhett joined Colin Biggers & Paisley's property and development team in 2003 and became partner in 2008. He currently serves as the national practice leader of the property and development group. With more than 20 years of experience, Rhett provides end-to-end real estate services to leading property development and investment businesses across Australia.

Rhett's areas of expertise include planning and infrastructure, acquisitions, disposals and leasing as well as corporate and project structuring and titling of major mixed-use, residential, commercial, integrated resort and aged-care/retirement developments. Rhett advises both private and public entities across a range of industries. 

He has been integral to the practice's holistic offering through his close relationships with the construction, planning, government, infrastructure and environment corporate and commercial, and disputes and investigations teams.

Rhett is also the primary architect behind Colin Biggers & Paisley's popular bi-annual 'Property Think Tank' events in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. The event brings together thought leaders in the property market to further innovation and opportunity in the industry. 

In 2019 Rhett was recognised by Doyle's Guide as a recommended Property & Real Estate Lawyer in Queensland. In the 2024 edition of The Best Lawyers in Australia, Rhett was recognised for his expertise in Hospitality and Tourism Law. 

Rhett holds a Master of Laws and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Queensland University of Technology. He was admitted as a solicitor in 2002 and is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia.
