Rhett is the national head of the property and development group at Colin Biggers & Paisley. He has over 14 years' of property development experience, offering end-to-end real estate services to leading property development businesses across Australia.
His focus areas of expertise encompass all aspects of property and development, including planning and infrastructure, acquisitions and disposals, and corporate and project structuring and titling of major mixed-use, residential, commercial, integrated resort and aged-care/retirement developments.
Rhett advises both private and public entities from a range of industry sectors, and has been integral to the practice's holistic offering as a result of his close relationships with the practice's construction and engineering; planning, government, infrastructure and environment; and commercial and disputes teams.
Rhett has also been the primary architect behind the practice's bi-annual 'Property Think Tank' events in Brisbane, which bring together thought leaders in the Queensland property market with the aim of furthering innovation and opportunity in the industry.
Doyle's Guide listed Rhett as "Recommended" under leading Queensland property and real estate lawyers (2016). He was also listed as "Recommended" under leading Queensland commercial lawyers (2017).
Rhett holds a Master of Laws and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Queensland University of Technology. He is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia.
