Roxanne Hilton is a special counsel in the employment and safety team. She has extensive experience in Australian workplace laws, particularly those relevant to the building and construction industry.
Roxanne's experience includes all aspects of managing unlawful industrial action, right of entry disputes, and general protections, including litigation arising from these issues. She has experience in relation to applications to the Courts for urgent interlocutory injunctions resulting from unlawful industrial action and coercion. She has extensive experience in discrete matters such as entry permit applications in the Fair Work Commission, allegations made against employers of strike pay and sham contracting, and compulsory examinations conducted by Government regulatory bodies.
Roxanne is experienced in advising, assisting and representing clients in regard to termination of employment and performance management, workplace investigations, dispute resolution, drafting and negotiating enterprise agreements, award compliance, workplace health and safety incidents (including WorkCover matters), HR policies and employment contracts.
Roxanne is admitted to practice in Queensland and the Commonwealth of Australia. She holds a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice in addition to her Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Journalism. Roxanne joined Colin Biggers & Paisley in 2017.
