Sara McRostie is a partner in the employment and safety team in Brisbane. Her practice focuses on helping employers to comply with workplace laws and achieve healthy workplaces.  

With close to 20 years of advisory and litigation experience, Sara supports private and public sector employers in the areas of executive employment, workplace restructuring, industrial disputes, enterprise bargaining, workplace investigations and managing long term ill and injured employees. 

Sara has particular expertise in the construction industry, advising on Building Code issues and providing advisory and litigation support to construction companies and government departments in unlawful industrial action and right of entry disputes.  

Sara also has considerable health and government experience having advised and represented various Queensland Hospital and Health Services, government departments, agencies and corporations. 

She has been recognised in Doyle's Guide as a leading workplace health and safety lawyer (2017) and rising star – employment and WHS (2016). Sara is listed In the 2020 edition of Best Lawyers in Australia for labour and employment law.
