Colin Biggers & Paisley's Brisbane insurance team is set to flourish after the promotions of Patrick Cavanagh and Georgina Wong to partner and the arrival of senior associate Alexandra King.
This senior growth, now with the combined expertise of a three partner practice spanning multiple lines of business, sees a significant bolstering of the team's capabilities in Queensland, and creates new opportunities and capacity to serve the insurance sector.
Patrick's focus is on defending professional indemnity claims for a range of professionals, including those in the allied health sector. While highly sought after in these areas, Patrick also defends complex property damage matters, public liability claims and recoveries, and acts for insurers on first and third party cyber-crime and employee fraud claims.
With broad expertise, Georgina assists her clients in matters relating to workers' compensation, personal injury, public liability, dust disease injuries, institutional risk and liability, contractual indemnity, and third-party recovery. She is also known for her skills in civil litigation, making her an asset to the Queensland legal sector.
The team was further bolstered when Alexandra King joined the practice in March, bringing her expertise in personal injury, property damage and professional indemnity claims.
Patrick, Georgina and Alexandra will work closely with partner Vijay Edwards in the practice's Brisbane based insurance team.
