A partner in Colin Biggers & Paisley's construction and engineering team since 2013, Nathan has extensive experience advising on major construction projects and acting in construction disputes. The projects he has worked on include office buildings, sporting complexes, large residential developments, freight distribution facilities, food processing facilities, port redevelopments and extensions to the terminal at Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport.

Nathan has acted for the Victorian Government, the Australian Government, property developers, contractors, major corporations and significant clubs and sporting organisations, including Carlton Football Club, Essendon Football Club, the Royal Automotive Club of Victoria and the Melbourne Cricket Club.

Nathan also has extensive experience acting on security of payment claims in construction disputes. 

Nathan is an accomplished public speaker and has presented numerous seminars and conference papers on construction contract drafting, risk allocation and other construction law topics. 

In 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2023, Nathan was listed by Doyle's Guide as a recommended Construction Lawyer in Victoria. In the 2019 to 2024 editions of The Best Lawyers in Australia, Nathan is listed as a leading Construction and Infrastructure Lawyer. 

In addition to his legal qualifications, Nathan also holds a Bachelor of Science degree and is an accredited specialist in commercial litigation (Law Institute of Victoria).

Nathan was admitted as a solicitor in 1991 and is admitted to practice in the Federal Court, the High Court and the Supreme Court of Victoria.
