Colin Biggers & Paisley continues construction team expansion with new Brisbane team

By Dr Andrew Murray, Blake Frost and Kayla Causer

Colin Biggers & Paisley has strengthened its market-leading national construction practice with new strategic hires.

Colin Biggers & Paisley has strengthened its market-leading national construction practice with the appointment of two new partners Blake Frost and Kayla Causer, senior associate Stephanie Purser, solicitor Kimi Pace, paralegal Lulu Crampton and legal assistant Ella Nielsen, all based in Brisbane.

The team, led by partners Blake Frost and Kayla Causer, brings significant experience spanning project procurement, delivery, contract negotiation, risk management and all forms of dispute resolution. Together, they have extensive experience advising developers, contractors, consultants and government stakeholders across major construction, infrastructure and development projects.

These appointments position Colin Biggers & Paisley strongly to meet growing client demand for specialist construction services across property, infrastructure and development within Queensland and nationally.

Welcoming the team, Managing Partner Dr Andrew Murray, said:

The addition of Blake, Kayla, Steph and Kimi further strengthens our construction capability in the Queensland market and more broadly. They are a strong complement to our national construction practice and its continued growth trajectory."

Construction partner, Blake Frost commented:

"The opportunity to join a large team with such strong capabilities across construction, property, planning and infrastructure was a major drawcard. I look forward to working with colleagues across the practice to support our clients as they deliver some of the market's most significant projects".

The new team joins Colin Biggers & Paisley's growing Brisbane Property & Development and Planning, Government, Infrastructure & Environment teams, following the recent promotion of Stephen Webb to partner on 1 July 2026 and Nadia Czachor earlier in 2025. Together, these capabilities enhance the practice's ability to provide clients with integrated advice across the development, planning and construction lifecycle.
