About the role:

We are seeking a Client Experience and Events Adviser to join our Brand, Clients & Markets team on a 12 month contract.
  
The position plays a key role in the group, developing and leading our client and market activities. You will join a collegiate, welcoming, well respected team that works alongside the partners and practice to build the brand, position to win work and look after clients. 
  
Your key responsibilities will include:

Events
  
  • Maintain the CBP Events Calendar and work with stakeholders to deliver events which align with strategic objectives and deliver positive return on investment.
  • Using all available resources, collaboratively plan, manage and execute successful events by:
    • running 'kick off' meetings and briefings
    • building and deploying campaigns including invitations, webpages and associated forms
    • working with internal stakeholders and the Brand and Communications team to ensure target audience engagement
    • overseeing the delivery of events on the day
    • preparing post-event reporting, dashboards and return on investment analysis
    • advising stakeholders on improvement and innovation opportunities.
  • Events and activities include: seminars; webinars; boardroom lunches; client dinners; cocktail functions; corporate boxes at sporting events; and other client targeted activities.
  • Use a commercial perspective to improve event processes and create efficiencies in event planning, management and delivery.
  • Build collaborative internal relationships with key groups including the Office Services team and Legal Assistants.
  • Deliver events which comply with CBP's WHS policy and safe systems of work.  
Client Experience  
  • Contribute to the client experience program by co-ordinating relevant projects (such as client surveys and marketing operations integration) at the direction of the Head of Client Experience and Events.
  • Influence the use and customisation of the practice's CRM and marketing technology to drive greater uptake in business development activities and the promotion of innovation.
  • Become a subject matter expert by actively growing knowledge of CBP's CRM and marketing technology.
  • Support Business Development Managers to manage and maximise the benefits of some of the practice's chosen sponsorships.  
Other responsibilities  
  • Work collaboratively with all members of the Brand, Clients and Markets team on projects and initiatives which enhance client relationships, build the business, and promote and profile the CBP brand.  
About you:
  • Proven experience in an event coordination role and demonstrated experience in events planning in a professional services environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing/Events desirable.
  • Experience in using CRM software.
  • Experience in using bulk email platforms.
  • Experience in delivering webinars and digital activities (Zoom or Teams desirable).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Experience using Copilot desirable.
  • Experience using business intelligence/reporting software (PowerBI desirable).
  • Professional presentation and communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact with all levels of the legal practice with a focus on customer service and strategic planning.
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, including experience liaising with external suppliers and sourcing suppliers.
  • Highly organised with ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
  • Eye for detail and creative flair in conceptualising events.
  • Demonstrable problem-solving skills and initiative.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a national team.
  • Due to nature of events, flexibility with start and finish times is required, as is some interstate travel.
