A solicitor in the insurance team since 2018 and a senior associate since 2023, Dilusha has experience in insurance litigation, including product liability, general liability and compensation claims.

Dilusha works for a range of clients, including national and multinational insurers, shopping centre owners, business owners, real estate agents, supermarket chains and other corporations.

She has experience working across a variety of claims, including those made under the provisions of the Accident Compensation Act 1985 (Vic), the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013 (Vic), and the Wrongs Act 1958 (Vic).

Dilusha's recent experience includes:

  • Appearing at numerous mediations and settlement conferences, and resolving public liability claims and personal injury disputes. 

  • Acting on behalf of insurers for judicial review applications relating to medical panel determinations.

  • Assisting on a number of complex personal injury claims for a major supermarket chain, including participating in mediations, preparing for and attending the trial, coordinating witnesses, preparing court documents, drafting advice for clients, and liaising with and assisting counsel to prepare matters to proceed smoothly to trial.

  • Appearing in the Magistrates, County and Supreme Courts for a range of matters, including WorkCover matters, Directions Hearings and interlocutory applications for civil trials.

In addition to her Bachelor of Laws, Dilusha holds a Bachelor of Arts degree. Dilusha was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2019.
